Carnival of Viareggio is the largest parade of allegorical floats in Italy
The papier maché has been invented in Viareggio and today this tradition lives on the avenues at sea every year. Beginning Carnival of Viareggio on Saturday 9th February with the opening ceremony of the first masked course. The parades will take a place on sunday 17th february 23th february Sunday 3rd march and on tuesday 5th March the last course with the proclamation of the winner and the fireworks show.
